Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly do you do?

I design intentional vacations.

That can mean full trip planning from hotel selection to dining reservations, or strategic cruise planning with cabin guidance and onboard timing.

You tell me what you want the trip to feel like. I handle the research and build a plan that works.

No.

I plan well-chosen travel.

Sometimes that means boutique hotels with personality.
Sometimes it means smart cruise strategy.
Sometimes it means knowing which room category is worth it and which one isn’t.

It’s less about price point and more about making good decisions.

Do you only plan luxury travel?

Many trips are commission-supported through hotel and cruise partnerships.

For more complex itineraries or highly customized planning, a transparent planning fee may apply. That’s discussed before we begin.

You’ll always know what you’re paying for and why.

Do you charge a planning fee?

Yes.

If you already know your dates and destination, I can assist with hotel or cruise bookings — often with access to preferred partner perks when available.

Can you just book me a hotel or cruise without all the planning?

Booking online gives you options.

Working with me gives you context.

I’ve done the research.
I compare neighborhoods.
I study cruise deck plans.
I read the bad reviews.
I think about flow and timing.

You won’t spend hours trying to decide. You’ll make informed choices quickly.

Why should I work with you instead of booking online?

Yes — it’s a specialty and a passion.

I’m a Gold Tier First Mate and have sailed across the fleet multiple times. I provide detailed guidance on cabin selection, dining reservations, show timing, and how to get the most out of your voyage — including secret tips and tricks I’ve used to get the most out of my voyages.

That said, I also plan cruises across other lines when they’re the right fit.

Do you specialize in Virgin Voyages?

I focus on:

• City weekends and urban travel
• Boutique and design-forward stays
• Cruise vacations
• Hidden gems and kitschy destinations
• Group and organizational travel

Basically, if it’s a vacation and you want it done well, I can help.

What destinations do you plan?

For cruises and high-demand destinations, earlier is better — especially for ideal cabin categories and other reservations.

For city weekends or shorter trips, a few months is usually sufficient.

If you’re unsure, reach out. We’ll figure out timing together.

Do you help during the trip?

Yes.

While I’m not physically traveling with you - unless you wanted to hire me as a tour guide - I remain available for support if something needs adjusting.

Ideally, though, you won’t need much. That’s the point.

How far in advance should I start planning?

You’ll complete a short inquiry form so I understand your goals.

From there, we’ll discuss scope, timing, and next steps. Once we move forward, I begin research and build your recommendations.

The goal is clarity — not overwhelm.

What does 10/10. No Notes. mean?

It means the trip worked.

The hotel felt right.
The pacing made sense.
The reservations landed.
The details lined up.

You get home without second-guessing anything.

That’s the standard.
